The Toronto Gift + Home Market Turns 50: Highlights from My 2026 Visit
This week, I returned to the Toronto Gift + Home Market, where the Canadian Gift Association celebrated 50 years of bringing great gifts to life. From funny gifts that made me laugh to cool new finds for Danna Bananas, this year’s show felt especially meaningful to be back.
It was great to return this past week to the Toronto Gift + Home Market, organized by the Canadian Gift Association.
Discovering new giftware and funny gifts felt especially meaningful because I missed last year after my mom passed away. Being back this year, surrounded by friendly familiar faces, was great. I've known these people for years.
After years of communicating through email to this one particular individual, it was wonderful to finally meet her in person. When she said,
"Hi Danna "Bananas"! So great to finally put a face to the name, you are just as nice and funny as I had imagined. ☺️" I wanted to hug her words too.
There was plenty of talk about tariffs and how wholesalers and small businesses are adapting to the new trade rules, a reality that affects everything from pricing to product choices.
Here is a small sneek peek...
you'll have to return to www.dannabananas.com see if these funny gifts were actually purchased. 😉 Just know we are doing our best to bring some funniness to Canada, because everywhere you read or hear... the news isn't great.
