I find myself filled with mixed emotions. It reminds me to appreciate the people who make my life richer. Thanksgiving encourages us to take stock, express gratitude, and acknowledge the wonderful individuals who brighten our lives every day. As someone who values connection, it’s bittersweet knowing that winter is on the way, and we’ll soon spend more time indoors. But for now, let’s savour the moments we've had and look forward to creating new memories with those we love, wherever they may be.
I’d like to close with a quote that feels especially meaningful today. Just before his passing, Jack Layton left Canadians with a message that captured his outlook and offers us a lesson, especially during this season:
