Jaws Turns 50: Still the Movie That Bites Back!

Jaws! 🦈

🎵 Jaws at 50: Da-na... na-na... BANANA! 🍌🦈

Fifty years ago, on June 20, 1975 this movie scared the crap out of me... and honestly, it still does.

Well, not exactly. If memory serves, I saw it years later as a teenager. More recently (pre-pandemic), I rewatched it to celebrate the start of summer. It showing at my favourite theatre in the city: https://www.foxtheatre.ca/

I just learned that you don’t even see the shark for the first eighty minutes! Meaning... it was all right here. (Pointing to my head) A true psychological thriller! Muhaha! 🧠🦈🎬

Yikes! Looking for a something summery fun to give as birthday gift to someone in your life. Only one left. Look no further… or you’ll be eaten:

If you dare, you can watch Jaws again in the theatre at the Revue Cinema on September 26/27th!

“Just when we thought it was safe to go back in the theatre… the moratorium has lifted! We’re finally allowed to screen Jaws for its 50th anniversary – and we’re not gonna need a bigger excuse.”
