Pumpkin Dump Cake: Because Life's Too Short to Measure Flour 🎃😂

Danna’s Pumpkin Dump Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin purée
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin purée, brown sugar, granulated sugar, pumpkin pie spice, eggs, and evaporated milk until smooth.

  3. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the pumpkin mixture. Do not stir.

  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, making sure to cover as much of the surface as possible.

  6. Optional: Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top for added crunch and flavor.

  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.

  8. Cool slightly before serving. Top with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream for an extra decadent treat!
