National Banana Bread Day: Time for a Chocolate Twist! 🍌🍫

National Banana Bread Day! 🍌🍞

Did you know today, February 23rd, is National Banana Bread Day? 🍌🍞
Let’s kick things off with a joke!

Why did the banana bread go to therapy?
Because it had too many loaf esteem issues! 🍌😂

Speaking of loaf esteem issues... let’s add chocolate to boost its confidence! 🍫😆

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe 🍌🍫

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (you can adjust based on your sweetness preference)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk, your choice)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.

  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth, leaving some small chunks for texture.

  3. Mix in the melted butter. Then stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt.

  4. Add the sugar and beaten egg. Stir until fully combined.

  5. Mix in the flour until just incorporated (don’t overmix). Gently fold in the chocolate chips (and walnuts if using).

  6. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.

  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. Cool for about 10 minutes before removing from the pan. Let it cool completely before slicing and enjoying!

Enjoy and remember, sharing is caring… or rather, Appeeling! 🍌😄
