National Banana Bread Day! 🍌🍞

Why did the banana bread go to therapy?
Because it had too many loaf esteem issues! 🍌😂
Speaking of loaf esteem issues... let’s add chocolate to boost its confidence! 🍫😆
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe 🍌🍫
Ingredients:
- 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar (you can adjust based on your sweetness preference)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (dark or milk, your choice)
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
-
Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth, leaving some small chunks for texture.
-
Mix in the melted butter. Then stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt.
-
Add the sugar and beaten egg. Stir until fully combined.
-
Mix in the flour until just incorporated (don’t overmix). Gently fold in the chocolate chips (and walnuts if using).
-
Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
-
Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Cool for about 10 minutes before removing from the pan. Let it cool completely before slicing and enjoying!
Enjoy and remember, sharing is caring… or rather, Appeeling! 🍌😄
